Before You Book
The most common thing people say before their first consultation is some version of this: I’m not sure I’m ready. They don’t know enough yet. They haven’t decided on a stone. They haven’t settled on a setting. They’re worried about wasting someone’s time.
This is exactly backwards. The consultation exists for people who haven’t decided anything yet. You do not need to arrive with answers. You need to arrive with curiosity.

It Is Completely Free
The consultation costs nothing. There is no obligation to proceed, no deposit required to book, and no minimum spend attached to the conversation. It is a conversation — nothing more, nothing less.
We offer complimentary consultations because the process of finding the right stone and the right setting takes time and trust. That relationship has to begin somewhere. It begins here.
It Happens Online — Anywhere
All consultations take place via Zoom or Google Meet. You do not need to travel to Brisbane. You do not need to visit a showroom or arrange childcare or take time off work. You need thirty minutes and a device with a camera.
We work with clients across Australia — Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide — as well as internationally. The experience is identical regardless of where you are sitting.

What We Talk About
Every consultation is different because every client is different. But most conversations cover the same ground, in roughly the same order.
The stone. What colour are you drawn to? Blue, teal, pink, yellow, parti? Have you seen anything that caught your eye — on our site, on Instagram, anywhere at all? Do you have a preference for origin — Ceylon, Australian, Madagascar? Do you know the difference between heated and unheated, and does it matter to you?
The setting. Solitaire or something with side stones? East-west or north-south orientation? A ring that sits flush against a wedding band or stands proud of it? Have you seen a setting style you love, even if it was for a completely different stone?
The metal. We work exclusively in 18ct gold — yellow, white or rose. Most clients arrive with a preference. If you don’t, we’ll help you find one.
The budget. We will ask about budget — not to judge, and not to upsell, but to make sure we show you stones and settings that are actually relevant to you. Budget shapes the brief. The brief shapes the outcome.
The timeline. Are you working toward a specific date — a proposal, an anniversary, a birthday? Knowing your timeline from the start allows us to manage the process properly.

You do not need to know what you want. You do not need to have done research. You do not need a budget locked in or a setting style chosen or any prior experience buying jewellery.
The consultation exists precisely for people who have a feeling but not yet a plan. We ask the right questions. You answer honestly. The direction emerges from the conversation — and it almost always does, within thirty minutes.

After the consultation, we follow up with a curated selection of stones that match your brief — photographs, specifications, pricing. You review them at your own pace, in your own time. If something resonates, we proceed. If nothing is quite right, we keep looking.
There is no deadline on your decision. We do not follow up with pressure. If a stone you love sells before you commit, we will find another one. The process moves at your pace, not ours.
