Face-up, this stone is dark. Deep teal-blue, almost inky, the colour sitting so far into the pavilion that the surface appears nearly black in certain light. It does not reveal itself immediately. That is the point.

Tilt it. The crown catches the light and a vivid golden yellow emerges along the ridge — a warm, saturated gold running the full length of the marquise against the dark teal body. Two colours that could not be more different from each other, held within a single stone by geology alone.
